Back to the Mass

As we know, we can't just jump right back into this; we're going to have to ease back while maintaining certain precautions to help keep this virus at bay.

Notes for Mass in the Panhandle during Covid

For all churches:

  • If you are sick or you think you might be contagious please stay home.

  • Except with members of your household, maintain 6 feet of distance at all times from other persons.

  • Wash your hands before coming to church; wash them afterwards.

  • No handshakes or touching; no sign of peace or holding hands.

  • Everyone is strongly encouraged to wear a mask.

  • Baskets for donations are provided; please generously support the church.

  • Do not be uncharitable to out-of-staters; they are our brethren too.

  • Reception on the tongue is discouraged; please receive in the hand.

  • Only those Catholics who are properly disposed to receive Holy Communion should present themselves in the line; no blessings will be given in the line.

  • If you are in the parking lot, please come in to receive Holy Communion at the directed times or when you see persons from inside leaving church; we will wait, so don’t rush.

  • Where necessary, we will broadcast a small radio station around the church at 100.1 FM; those in their cars should tune in or watch a stream on our youtube channel: panhandlecatholic.

  • Being attentive and careful is the charity we are called to share.

  • For more information watch our “Back to the Mass” videos on our  Youtube channel: panhandlecatholic.

For Good Shepherd:

  • We will have open doors in Boise City.  Pews will be alternately open; keep six feet of distance between your family unit and the next person. Bring sanitizing wipes to clean the spaces you occupy.

  • When we hit the maximum capacity, everyone else will need to listen from their cars.

  • Communion will be distributed after Mass from the parish hall; after all in the parish hall have received and gone out the door, the south side of the church may go and then the main church.

  • No hymnals or missals will be available for use.

For Sacred Heart:

  • As Hooker has 50+ cases, we will have closed doors.  Please park at the church for Mass and listen to the livestream on the radio station (100.1) or on our youtube channel.

  • After Mass, listen for the instructions to enter for Holy Communion.

For St. Frances Cabrini:

  • We will have open doors in Beaver.  Pews will be alternately open; keep six feet of distance between your family unit and the next person. Bring sanitizing wipes to clean the spaces you occupy.

  • Though we will use the hall, when we hit the maximum capacity, everyone else will need to listen from their cars.

  • Communion will be distributed during Mass at the altar; maintain six feet apart, and no blessings will be given in the line.

  • No hymnals or missals will be available for use.

For St. Peter the Apostle:

  • As Guymon has 400+ cases, we will have closed doors.  Please park at the church for Mass and listen to the livestream on the radio station (100.1) or on our youtube channel.

  • After Mass, listen for the instructions to enter for Holy Communion.
