Ad Deum: The Blood

When I was starting out in seminary, I had deep and profound thought enter into my head one day that there should be an image of the priest raising the chalice and the Blood of Christ flowing from His side into it. Alas, I have no great drawing ability. Lo and behold, I found out it had already been done.

When I raise the chalice offering it to the Father, I look upon the crucifix and am in profound meditation at Golgatha, as the image of the Precious Blood runs down into the chalice.
