Brand new website!!
It has certainly taken a bit longer than I anticipated to get this up and off the ground, but I think we've got the beginnings of a very ambitious and beneficial project to engage, inform, and enrich the spiritual lives of our parishioners and beyond with this digital portal of information.
This certainly goes along with our re-branding efforts. Fr. John Paul Lewis thought up the name of panhandlecatholic to properly represent the reality of the Church out in our neck of the woods. We are a community of churches; this name reflects that now more than ever. It seems also to be in-line with the very spirit of the Panhandle of Oklahoma; out here the pioneers had to rely upon each other for survival and to move into thriving. No one can do it alone.
So under the one banner of the panhandlecatholic, all four of the faith communities can benefit from this central hub of information, education, and formation. I can't wait to see how this develops and grows.
Certainly we'll need some help. If you are interested in helping with the website (I promise, it's like more advanced digital Legos or scrapbooking) or with being a contributing writer for our news feed, email me at pastor@panhandlecatholic.org.
In Christ,
Very Rev. Christopher Brashears
Pastor of the Panhandle
