Almost since the first Mass of Advent, I noticed that, at the elevation of the chalice, in the polished rim I see reflected all of the people of God in the church. It is as if all of this priestly people are elevated with the chalice.
It almost brought tears to my eyes. And I've seen this reflection and the meditation at every Ad Deum Mass. Know that you all are with me in a special new way at the Altar of God.
